Thoughts of three...

0,2,4....I envisioned having kids close together, but one never know if what you dream about will actually become reality. I have been pretty lucky so far, I used to day dream about Nash, sure there were others in between, but it always came back to him! Sure enough that came true. I wanted to be done bearing children by 30,done. Wanted kids close in age so they could play together, done.
Now the 3 reality, while preggers I kept hearing going from 2-3 was the hardest but after 3 it doesn't matter, they were right. lol. I notice on the days we just stay home it is much harder than if we venture out and do something. My kids are creatures of habit and enjoy going out every day.
Random Thought...My baby monitor is on but Olive is w/ me eating yet I hear a baby crying.Someone in my hood needs to go get their kid!
So in hopes of a great day I think we will head out.

Birth story

Gosh...where to start...
Well Saturday Dec. 19th Olive Renae Lamberson entered our world. at 7lb 6oz. and 19in. It looks like she is going to have Hazel eyes and so far her hair is dark and has a little wave to it.
The labor was rough, we had planned to go in and be induced and the dr. said earlier that week that even if we hadn't had that planned he would have done so anyways b/c I was border lining on having too much fluid- poly-something or other. Other than that at the end the pregnancy was pretty good. It took awhile to get contractions going and they had trouble finding a vein for an iv and such. 3 nurses and one anesthesiologist (and several pokes) later IV was finally in. Medicine flowing. Once the contractions came they were HARD, after awhile I decided to go for the epi...wish I hadn't. They couldn't get it in. 45min and 4 or 5 tries later they finally got it. BP was like 200ish/100ish according to Nash- who was having trouble watching and had to sit down, I was screaming, from the epi needle pain, not contractions. Nurses were rushing in, it all started getting hazy. The 1 hour after they got it in she was born. Had I known it was going to be that short of time I wouldn't have gotten the epi.
She came out in a push and a half and b/c she came so fast the fluid didn't get pushed out of her lungs causing her to have to go to the Special Care Nursery for just over 24 hours. God was def. with us cause we thought she was gonna have to be there longer but the dr. called out of the blue a day early and said we could go, that all the tests were fine and she just needed to take an iron supplement! We were soooo surprised and happy and emotional. We didn't tell anyone, we just quietly got her dressed and then showed up where Mom was at home with the boys waiting for her turn to come to the hospital. It was the BEST face ever! Her and Henry were sitting on the couch and so surprised when Nash and I walked in with Olive. I will always remember that moment.

Dr. Appt. 11/19/2009

I had another Dr. appt. today. It was a nice quick and easy one. She is measuring around 5 pounds ish now and we are still planning on taking her out via induction the week before Christmas. She is head down and a little wiggle worm. All my vitals look good, blood pressure is low, I lost two pounds which is ok- even though I am supposed to be gaining a pound a week right now. I was sick last week so that is probably what that is from. I have gained a total of 16 pounds thus far. Pretty good, all baby and boobs really. haha.
I am in such anticipation to see her. You never really get over the excitment to see something so wonderful that you helped create. Each little one is so different, so new. I wonder if she will have my lips, my nose, Nash's eyes, dimples. I wonder if she will have lots of hair, curly, blonde, or dark? Blue, Green, Hazel, brown eyes? I just can't wait to find out!

The baby shower

So the baby shower was super fun. It was so nice to see everyone and visit. I loved all the pink clothes. I think I was in pink over-load. Plus being sick I was kind of in a stuper. One which I am still coming out of. Yesterday I just layed on the couch all day. Today I ventured out only because it was my day to take a lady who just had a baby a meal and I wanted to get it done early in the day before I got too tired. Then the kids and I had lunch at Lisa's. Now it is naptime and one is down and the other is sitting down. I however still feel like crapola.
Nash and I did start going through baby clothes last night though and putting them in drawers, we are not even half way done, but it was fun to get to relook through everything again and really get a good look at it. I think Nash liked it too.
Time for a little rest, maybe. peace out.

Baby shower today

Today is the baby shower! I am really excited. I love any excuse to get together with friends and hang out. It is also nice to have some grown up time and relax time. Lindsay came in yesterday and the boys didn't know she was coming, they were so excited when they saw her. It was adorable.

latest dr. appt.

So I had another Dr. appt. last night. Everything looks good. She is about 4 1/2 lbs. Still planning on coming out the week before Christmas. It will be nice to have her home and be home resting before the holiday. We were trying to get a good shot of her face, but she kept pulling the chord or her hands and arms infront of her face so that wasn't a possibility. Little stinker. The dr. did mention that it looks like she has a lot of hair. No clue how he could tell that because I sure couldn't but it will be interesting to see!
This morning I woke up with one hand kind of swollen and a rash. The rash usually indicates that I took something that I was allergic too, but I didn't eat or take anything out of the ordinary yesterday so I don't know. Will have to keep an eye on that to make sure it goes away here soon. It is rather annoying.
