31 WEEKS!!!

31 weeks. She should be a solid few pounds by now. At her last ultrasound he said she was about 2 1/2 pounds and that was 3 weeks or so ago. I have another ultrasound next Thursday. We will check out how she is doing. As of right now we are planning on having her the week before Christmas! Woot woot!

Excitedly working on the room!

We have been working on Olive's room and it is slowly coming together. I think this week we are going to start painting, and Nash is working on her crib out in the garage. We are painting the crib the boys used and getting a new mattress for it.
Which FYI other moms out there if you create a registry you get like 10-15% off stuff on your registry when you buy things off of it, so register. Cause when you need a new crib matress every little bit helps. Plus then babies r us, or baby depot starts sending you coupons on top of that!
I am excited to see things start coming together. It is a slow but steady process.

Recipes???

Dear Ladies,
If you are viewing this website I would like a HUGE favor from you. Do you think that you could bring a recipe card with you to the shower with your favorite EASY recipe on there. I would love some great crock pot recipes or casseroles. Basically anything that will take very little time to prepare. And things that I can prepare in the am and cook all day, or pop in later are awesome. I just know me, and know that I am not going to feel like making dinner at the end of the day. I am trying to prepare for it now, but I am already tired! haha. Plus I love having hand written cards from people, it is really neat seeing that in my cook book. And maybe one day Olive will be getting this cookbook :)
Thanks you guys!

Girl clothing...not as easy as I thought it would be.

So while most people do not want clothes for showers...we do. We have no pink in this house :) We are borrowing some infant items from a friend who has two girls, but 12mo and up is pretty slim. We have started her a box of various sized, and can I say how FUN girls clothes are, and how confusing! I thought, being a girl it would be easy. But there are stockings, tights, leggings, bloomers, long shirts, regular shirts, dresses, ooh my! And I thought that putting everything together would be fairly easy...being a girl myself. I thought wrong, little girl style is a Little different I am discovering. Boys are easy, shirt and pants. The only real thought is what funny saying I might choose on their shirt. Or if I want them to match that day. But for the most part the boys can even pick out their own outfits and look good. I can see now how girls cannot.

today's dr. appt.

She is still a GIRL! I am always amazed when he looks between her legs and says, "Yep, it is still a girl." Not that I really think it is possible for a penis to suddenly appear, but I guess it is just hard to believe I am growing a girl inside of me. wow!
He also said that she is growing right on track for her age too, not too big, not to small. Just right on track. So that is good. Everything looks healthy, no birth defects or anything serious. Which, with my "condition" as mother would call it, haha, could slightly raise birth defects. But we found out so soon that I was pregnant and I started taking vitamins and extra folic acid right away that all has been well. Praise Jesus. Plus I have a cute little boy praying for the "poopy baby" every night, so I am sure that is helping. Cute kid :)
I can't wait to hear her cry, and see what she looks like, and put her in a dress. Gosh this is taking forever!

sitting here watching my tummy bounce....

So it is naptime and I am sitting here watching a baby story and watching my own tummy bounce. It is such an interesting feeling and sight to watch something kicking you from the inside out.
I am at the point in my pregnancy where I wake up in the middle of the night thinking about things that I could be doing. You know important things like, dusting, window washing, dishes, etc. These things can keep me up for over an hour, and sometimes I have have to just get up and do them. That is at least what I did when I was preggers with Hudson. It is all sorts of annoying.
Time to go... more later!
