Great wolf lodge.

First day here, awesome. Ride over, long of course. But the kids were just in wonderment arriving. Olive, with her occasional stutter, said " I can't, I can't, I can't wait until we get to the great wolf lodge! It will be amazing!"

Vacation !!!!!

I cannot express how joyful I am to escape for a few days for vacation!
And even more happy was the realization that I really only needed to pack clothes for like 1day! Why you ask??? Because we are headed to the Great Wolf Lodge!!!

Heidi, if you ever read this you will find it humorous that I spelled "wolf" "Wolph" just without even thinking. :-)

But back to the vaca and why we need so little clothes... Because the first two days will be spent in swimsuits or Jammie's!! How great is that! I simply can't wait.
Also, on this trip, we are meeting up with whatever family is able to meet up in Seattle for the day. I'm super excited for this. A little ferry ride, some pike place. Just a day of adventure!
Speaking of family, some family has been showing interest in BB, which is great! I hope they will be able to start up a western wa site. That would be amazing.

And then there were 5...

Just as quickly as a child comes in, they can leave again. In the world of hashtags other foster moms and I laugh and say ours is #fostercarelife, and really it is. Whether a child is here for 24 hrs or 24 mo. You have to expect the unexpected.
Little monkey has moved on, and gets to live with his sisters at a foster friends house. While we loved having him, I imagine he is much happier to be with his big sisters and they are happy to be with him. Most times it is best for siblings to be together. This is one of those times:-)
This week we are getting ready for vacation. We are ALL excited. I am so happy to just spend some relaxing time with my little family. Quite, happy, moments.
I. Just. Can't. Wait.

We had my parents and brother in town for a few days. It was WONDERFUL to get to see them. Lil bro is contemplating moving back. Not sure where he wants to move. I pray the best for this kid. He has matured a lot, and I can see he is really weighing his decisions out.
While here I went paintballing with just the boys. First time, I admit, I was nervous. To test my, uh, manlyness I guess, they shot me with an air soft gun first. I think my brother thought I would be crying during paintball.
I lit them up!

Love them

Night 2 with one- 1 yr, 4yr, 6yr, 7yr, 8yr, and 14 yr in da house!

Night two went well.
I went to work today, got little monkey man settled into daycare and off I went with the teenager and our hitchhikin neighbor - my sometimes second teen:-)
After school got dinner going, hubby finished while I ran an errand, he had kids ready for karate when I got home and off to the gym we went.
We ran into Monkey Man's old FP while at the gym. Very nice gal. She had a few kiddos that were sweet too. They were all happy to see him.
When we got home got Baby O and Monkey Jammie's and they fell right asleep. Couldn't have gone better!!
Thank-you Lord. For blessing us. I know that this road in FosterVille isn't for everyone, and can be difficult, but I am thankful to be chosen for this road.

The little bits

Last week we had a 1 month old for 24 hours. In the days of hashtags. I always quip to the hubby that ours is #fostercarelife - you just never know what can happen. A week before that we were preparing for a one year old girl. Now a week after that I have a one year old boy peacefully sleeping in the crib beside me and I can hear the laughter of the man and man child down the hall. You just never. Know. What. Will. Happen.

I have much more to write about that, but I can't right now. Maybe later.
